Nigerian hip-hop star Zlatan Ibile has dismissed reports suggesting he vowed never to marry his longtime partner and mother of his children, Davita Lamai.

The claim, which circulated online, alleged that Zlatan’s partner was in tears after he supposedly stated he would never marry her despite having two children together.

Responding to the rumors, Zlatan labeled the report as “fake” and criticized those who fall for unverified news. He warned that the person behind the post would soon face consequences.

He wrote on social media:
"Y’all know I hate to shalaye. But if you’re still one of those who can’t differentiate or confirm before engaging an agenda post in 2026, you don’t deserve to have internet on your phone. This is fake! Banger boy, your time is coming soon."

This statement comes after Zlatan recently clarified that while Lamai is the mother of his children, she is not yet his wife. The rapper made this clarification in response to a fan on Snapchat who referred to Lamai as his “wife.”
