“YOU’RE EMOTIONALLY DAMAGED” – BLESSING CEO FIRES BACK AT CRITICS OF HER RELATIONSHIP
Popular relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has hit back at those predicting doom for her relationship with celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also called IVD.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Blessing addressed the wave of negative comments surrounding her upcoming marriage, saying many people are too damaged by past experiences to recognize or accept genuine love.
“A lot of you are damaged. When you’re damaged, anything beautiful seems too good to be true,” she said. “Being damaged isn’t an insult. It’s a mental and emotional state that comes from past pain.”
Blessing pointed out that social media has worsened people’s fears, especially with the high number of celebrity marriages that have ended in divorce. She argued that many have become so accustomed to heartbreak stories that they can’t believe in real love anymore.
“You become anti-love because of fear and past trauma. Some of you have not even experienced heartbreak but you’ve absorbed other people’s experiences and now live in fear,” she added.
She reminded her followers that disagreements are normal in any relationship, stressing that love is about forgiveness and growing together.
“You disagree with your own blood, talk more of a total stranger. But love comes in when you’re willing to forgive 70 times 7. You must learn from experiences and not generalize them,” she explained.
Blessing urged her critics to heal from their emotional wounds so they can welcome love when it comes.
“The act of always thinking negative in the face of positivity is a sign of being damaged. I want you to go and heal, so that when something good comes your way, you understand that you truly deserve it,” she concluded.
