Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has issued a stern warning to the United States Army and former U.S. President Donald Trump, following threats of possible military action against Nigeria over alleged attacks on Christians.

During a TikTok live session with a Nigerian-born U.S. soldier, the Zazuu Zeh crooner reacted strongly to Trump’s recent statement suggesting that the U.S. might consider armed intervention if religious violence in Nigeria continues.

Portable cautioned the U.S. against underestimating Nigeria’s resilience, claiming that any invasion attempt would end disastrously for American troops.

“If U.S. soldiers invade Nigeria, they won’t return home,” Portable warned. “Those Boko Haram members you hear about? They are fathers, brothers, and husbands. Many joined because of hunger.”

He reiterated his point, stressing that even insurgents are part of the Nigerian reality and that war would only worsen the suffering of the masses.

“If U.S. soldiers invade Nigeria, they won’t go back home. Those Boko Haram members are people’s fathers, brothers, and husbands. Most of them joined because of hunger,” he said.

Portable’s comments come amid rising tensions following Donald Trump’s threat to cut aid to Nigeria and consider military intervention over alleged religious persecution. The statement drew widespread criticism from Nigerian officials, including Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar, who warned Trump against making “false and dangerous claims” capable of destabilizing the country.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
