Former Didier Drogba has expressed his support for Victor Osimhen after Galatasaray S.K. supporters unveiled a touching tifo in tribute to the Nigerian striker’s late mother.

Ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool F.C., home fans displayed a massive banner featuring images of Osimhen, his daughter, and his late mother, creating an emotional moment inside the stadium.

Drogba, who previously played for Galatasaray toward the end of his career, is familiar with the passion of the club’s devoted fanbase, often referred to as the Cim-Bom supporters.

Reacting to the tribute, Drogba shared a photo of the banner and wrote: “Told you, you have an army of Lions with you, Victor Osimhen. Condolences and stay strong.”

In a recent interview with The Players’ Tribune, Osimhen reflected on the pain of losing his mother at a young age and being raised by his father. His story sparked conversations among Galatasaray fans on social media, inspiring them to create the heartfelt tribute in recognition of his journey and resilience. ⚽💛❤️
