“YOU ARE LIKE MY MOTHER” — PORTABLE CONTINUES TO PLEAD WITH WIFE, BEWAJI
Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has once again made a public appeal to his wife, Bewaji.
On her Instagram, Bewaji shared new photos with the caption: “Healing made me private, growth made me picky, and peace made me unbothered.” In response, Portable commented that she is the only one praying for him, urging her to value him and comparing her to his mother:
"When I see nobody, na only you dey pray for me. Value me. Dasobomi Omoleye, if no be you, nobody. Woman like mother."
This message follows Portable’s earlier declaration that he is fully committed to Bewaji, stating that previous charms used against him no longer hold power. He affirmed that Bewaji is his legal wife and that he cannot marry another woman.
Their relationship has faced public scrutiny, especially during a heated New Year confrontation with actress Ashabi, one of Portable’s former partners. During the altercation, he insisted that Bewaji is his only wife, while the other women are his baby mamas. Portable later claimed that Ashabi visited his home intending to harm his family, alleging that his pregnant wife was attacked and guns were pointed at his children. He also said Ashabi’s mother accused him of using charms and questioned why he hadn’t bought her a car.
Portable and Bewaji have two children together, while the singer has four more children with three other women: his first baby mama (identity unknown), Keji, and Ashabi, who has two kids with him.
Their marriage has experienced turbulence, including a public fallout last year, but the couple reconciled. Previously, Portable had shared a video of actress Lizzy Anjorin and her husband, emphasizing the importance of loyalty and questioning men’s happiness when women complain about infidelity on social media.
In another Instagram post, Portable advised Bewaji to distance herself from Ashabi, calling her wicked, and pleaded for a chance to rebuild their bond, urging her to make him her best friend.
