YOLA SPECIALIST HOSPITAL DENIES CHILD THEFT RUMOUR, SAYS IT’S FAKE NEWS
The management of Specialist Hospital Yola, Adamawa State’s leading government hospital, has strongly denied viral claims that a child was stolen from one of its wards.
Addressing the press on Friday, the hospital’s Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Dauda Wadinga, described the report—mainly spreading on social media—as completely false and misleading.
“It’s unfortunate that some people wake up and cook up false stories just to create panic. No child was stolen from this hospital,” Dr. Wadinga stated firmly. “We are urging the good people of Adamawa to ignore such fake news.”
He assured the public that the hospital has strong security and patient safety measures in place to prevent such incidents from ever happening.
According to the CMD, every child admitted to the hospital is always accompanied by a mother or guardian, making it virtually impossible for anyone to sneak a child out unnoticed.
“Our nurses are well-trained, our security personnel are on duty 24/7, and the ward setup is designed to ensure the maximum safety of every patient, especially children,” he added.
The hospital emphasized its commitment to quality healthcare and reassured residents that Specialist Hospital Yola remains one of the safest public hospitals in the region.
