YOHANNA BECOMES FOURTH-YOUNGEST NIGERIAN TO MAKE EPL DEBUT

Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna has become the fourth-youngest Nigerian to make a Premier League appearance after making his debut for Brighton & Hove Albion in their 4-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday.

The 19-year-old started the game on the bench before replacing Mats Wieffer 12 minutes from full-time as Brighton cruised to a comfortable victory at the Amex Stadium. Maxim de Cuyper scored twice, while Jack Hinshelwood also found the net twice for the hosts.

Yohanna, who joined Brighton from Swedish club AIK this summer for an initial £24.2m fee that could rise to £26m with add-ons, made his Premier League debut at 19 years and 55 days. He now ranks behind Victor Anichebe, Kelechi Iheanacho and Shola Ameobi among the youngest Nigerians to feature in the competition.

Elsewhere, Nigerian striker Akor Adams failed to score as Venezia suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Lecce in Serie A, while Ademola Lookman played 79 minutes as Atletico Madrid were held to a 2-2 draw by Villarreal.

In Turkey, Paul Onuachu and Chibuike Nwaiwu featured for Trabzonspor in their 2-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir, with Onuachu playing until the 87th minute.
