YOBE POLICE WARN RESIDENTS AGAINST SELLING OR MISUSING GOVERNMENT EMPOWERMENT TOOLS
Yobe Police Caution Against Sale or Misuse of Farm Tools, Relief Materials
The Yobe State Police Command has issued a strong warning to residents against diverting, vandalizing, or selling government-distributed empowerment tools and relief items.
This comes following the launch of an agricultural empowerment initiative by the state government aimed at boosting food production, improving food security, and enhancing the overall well-being of citizens.
Speaking on behalf of the command, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, emphasized that the directive is part of a broader effort to ensure that the resources reach the intended beneficiaries and serve their purpose effectively.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Ado, assures that anyone found violating the government’s directive will be arrested and prosecuted,” Abdulkarim stated.
He further noted that the police are committed to supporting government initiatives and maintaining law and order throughout the state.
“The Command is committed to maintaining security, safety, and protecting life and property,” he added.
The warning serves as a reminder that public support programs must not be exploited for personal gain. Residents are urged to use the distributed tools responsibly to help build a more food-secure and self-sustaining Yobe State.
