YILWATDA, MUTFWANG, TOMPOLO RALLY FOR TINUBU’S RE-ELECTION
The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and oil pipeline security contractor Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, have rallied support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
They made the call on Wednesday in Jos during the inauguration of the Plateau State and local government structures of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, a grassroots mobilisation group working to secure another term for the President.
The event also featured the unveiling of 25 campaign vehicles and other mobilisation materials donated by Tompolo to strengthen the group’s activities across the state.
Yilwatda urged Plateau residents to support Tinubu and other APC candidates, citing the Federal Government’s interventions in security and infrastructure development as reasons for backing the administration.
He highlighted the deployment of security personnel to troubled communities, including Bokkos and Riyom, as well as plans to establish additional military formations and deploy forest guards to improve security.
Mutfwang, who said he had decided to support Tinubu after meeting him in June 2023, acknowledged the country’s economic and security challenges but expressed confidence in the President’s leadership and reform agenda.
The governor urged members of the movement to intensify grassroots mobilisation and take the administration’s message to communities across Plateau State. He maintained that sustained implementation of the economic reforms would eventually deliver benefits to Nigerians.
Tompolo, represented at the event by Tantita Security Services Managing Director, Kestin Pondi, described Tinubu as a courageous leader whose reforms required time to produce their expected results.
He urged supporters to take the campaign to households, markets and religious centres ahead of the 2027 elections.
The organisers said the inauguration formed part of a nationwide mobilisation drive aimed at strengthening grassroots support for Tinubu’s re-election.
