YEMI SOLADE RECALLS BEING PAID TO STAGE CHURCH HEALING MIRACLE

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed that he once participated in a staged church healing miracle after being paid to pretend that he had a physical disability. The actor made the disclosure during an interview with Feel Right News TV, recalling that the incident happened when he was still a student and had not yet become a recognised figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Solade explained that he was approached to act as a cripple during a church service, where his supposed disability was presented as something that would be miraculously healed. He accepted the arrangement and received payment for his participation. According to the actor, he later spent the money he received on alcoholic drinks. He also indicated that the people behind the arrangement are still alive but chose not to disclose their identities.

The revelation has drawn attention to longstanding concerns over claims of staged miracles in some religious settings. Solade’s account suggests that individuals may sometimes be recruited to create the appearance of supernatural healing before a congregation. However, he did not identify the church involved, the organisers or provide further details that could independently establish where the incident occurred.

The actor’s disclosure also comes amid his previous comments about his relationship with organised religion. Solade has said that he stopped attending church services about 13 years ago, while maintaining that he remains a believer in God. He explained that his decision was influenced by his personal experiences and understanding of his relationship with God rather than a rejection of his faith.

Solade’s latest revelation has sparked discussions about the authenticity of miracle claims and the responsibilities of religious leaders and worshippers in distinguishing genuine spiritual experiences from staged performances.
