YAYI PLEDGES INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT FOR EGBALAND
Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has reaffirmed his commitment to driving inclusive development across Egbaland, promising to prioritise infrastructure, education, and economic empowerment for the region’s residents.
The Senator, who represents Ogun West in the National Assembly, made the pledge during a stakeholders’ meeting with traditional rulers, youth groups, and community leaders in Abeokuta. He emphasised that development must be equitable and reach every corner of Egbaland, from urban centres to rural communities.
“We cannot leave anyone behind. My focus will be on projects that create opportunities for our people — better roads, quality schools, healthcare facilities, and support for small businesses and farmers,” Yayi stated.
He highlighted ongoing and planned interventions in water supply, electricity, and skills acquisition programmes aimed at reducing unemployment among the youth. The lawmaker also solicited continued support and collaboration from traditional institutions to ensure sustainable progress.
The pledge has been warmly received by Egba leaders, who commended Senator Yayi’s track record of delivering constituency projects and his accessibility to the people. Many expressed optimism that his representation would translate into tangible transformation for the historic region.
The commitment comes as political stakeholders intensify efforts ahead of future elections, with development and good governance taking centre stage in Ogun State discourse.
