YAHAYA TRANSMITS 23 COMMISSIONER NOMINEES TO GOMBE ASSEMBLY

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has transmitted the names of 23 commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The list, submitted in line with constitutional provisions, is expected to be considered by the lawmakers in the coming days. The nominees represent a mix of experienced technocrats, politicians, and professionals from various parts of the state, reflecting the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance.

A statement from the Government House noted that the nominations were made after wide consultations with stakeholders to ensure competent and credible individuals are appointed to drive the state’s development agenda. Governor Yahaya urged the Assembly to expedite the screening process to allow for swift formation of the state executive council.
