Excitement filled the air in the Oshodi area of Lagos on Wednesday as a young woman unexpectedly gave birth by the roadside.

Eyewitnesses said the woman was en route from Ajah to an unknown location when she suddenly went into labour. The incident quickly drew the attention of nearby women, who came together to help her safely deliver the baby.

One witness described the scene as “a clear act of God,” commending the swift efforts of those who stepped in to assist, ensuring the safety of both mother and child.

While initial attempts to reach her husband by phone were unsuccessful, friends at the scene helped provide support until he arrived shortly after the delivery.

The mood was joyful as onlookers gathered to celebrate with the new mother. Local market women welcomed the newborn’s arrival as a sign of divine favour and a blessing to the community.
