WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY SMUGGLING DRUGS TO SON IN OGUN PRISON

A woman has been arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle illicit drugs into a correctional facility in Ogun State for her son, who is currently on death row.

The incident was reported by officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service during a routine security operation at the facility.

According to the report, the woman was intercepted while attempting to bring the prohibited substances into the correctional centre during a visit to her son.

The drugs were reportedly discovered during the screening process, leading to her immediate arrest.
