WOLVES 2-0 EVERTON: AROKODARE SEALS VICTORY, EARNS COACH’S PRAISE
Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach, Vitor Pereira, has praised Tolu Arokodare for his standout performance in their Carabao Cup triumph over Everton.
Arokodare registered his first goal for Wolves in the 2-0 win at Molineux.
Marshall Munetsi had earlier put the Old Gold ahead in the first half before Arokodare, introduced in the 68th minute for Strand Larsen, sealed the victory three minutes from full time.
The Nigerian forward latched onto a precise pass from Joao Gomes and calmly finished from inside the box.
Pereira expressed confidence that the strike will serve as a major boost for the player.
“Tolu has settled in really well since joining us, and tonight’s goal will give him confidence,” Pereira told the club’s official website.
“It’s always important for a striker to get off the mark early.”
