WIKE REPRESENTS NIGERIA AT 2025 ASIA PACIFIC CITIES SUMMIT IN DUBAI
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to participate in the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Monday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
Wike was welcomed by the Consul General of Nigeria in Dubai, Zayyanu Ibrahim, along with officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration who had arrived ahead of him.
During the summit, Wike is expected to lead a discussion panel on Tuesday, where he will respond to questions about the Federal Capital Territory and engage with mayors from other capital cities.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit (2025APCS) aims to foster long-term value for cities and businesses seeking trade and investment opportunities across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and other regions.
Organised by the Brisbane City Council, Australia, the summit is among the world’s most diverse gatherings of mayors, city leaders, business executives, and young professionals.
The theme for the 2025APCS is “Collaborate, Inspire, Transform.”
Sub-themes for the summit include “Centres of Connection,” which explores the role of transportation networks and other initiatives focused on promoting sustainable urban development and improving quality of life.
