The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan as the Acting Head of Service for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

The announcement was made in a statement on Tuesday by Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, who explained that Nathan will serve in an acting capacity until a substantive Head of Service is formally appointed.

Her appointment follows the passing of the former Head of Service, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, who died last Monday, leaving the office vacant.

Before stepping into her new role, Mrs. Nathan was the Permanent Secretary of the Youth Development Secretariat, FCTA. She also previously served as Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the FCT Minister, demonstrating years of senior-level experience within the administration.

According to the statement, the appointment takes immediate effect.

This move ensures continuity in the FCTA’s administrative leadership while the process of confirming a substantive Head of Service is underway.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
