FCT Minister asserts that the President's second-term victory is a settled priority, predicting an easier electoral path than 2023 while dismissing opposition critics

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that his primary political focus is centered entirely on securing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Speaking during a stakeholder engagement, the former Rivers State governor emphasized that his dedication to the administration's continuity dictates his daily routine and political calculations.

"Each day I sleep, I am thinking about the President's re-election. When I am eating, I think about the President's re-election. Everything I am doing now is about the President's re-election," Wike stated.

The minister maintained that President Tinubu has adequately recognized Rivers State through developmental projects and strategic appointments, urging residents to look past political sentiments and reward the administration with massive votes.

Expressing confidence in the arithmetic of the ruling party, Wike predicted that the 2027 presidential campaign would encounter significantly less resistance compared to the tight margins recorded during the 2023 polls.

He further dismissed opposition figures and emerging coalitions as political jobbers, asserting that the current administration's footing remains unshakeable as preparations toward the electoral cycle gather momentum.
