WIKE DECLARES SELF FIELD COMMANDER FOR TINUBU’S CAMPAIGN IN FCT AND RIVERS AHEAD OF 2027

FCT Minister announces plans to launch formal campaign structures, citing infrastructure developments and cross-party political influence in Abuja and Rivers State as key mobilization pillars

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared himself the field commander and chief coordinator for President Bola Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign across the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State.  

Speaking at a political gathering in Abuja, the minister disclosed that plans are fully underway to formally unveil dedicated campaign structures tasked with driving grassroot mobilization for the president's re-election bid.  

Wike maintained that his political leadership across both territories stems from strong cross-party structures and sustained alignment among key political stakeholders in the federal capital and his home state.  

Highlighting ongoing developmental projects across the capital territory, the minister asserted that visible achievements in urban infrastructure, road construction, and public amenities will serve as the primary endorsement for the administration's return to office.

He indicated that after establishing the campaign machinery within the nation's capital, he will extend full-scale political operations to Rivers State to consolidate support for the ruling party.

The declaration further underscores early political realignments and strategic preparation within the ruling All Progressives Congress framework as political actors position their machinery ahead of the upcoming national elections.
