WHY NIGERIANS MUST VOTE OUT APC IN 2027 — IROEGBU
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member and supporter of the Obidient Movement, Dickson Iroegbu, has called on Nigerians to take political action against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Iroegbu made the appeal on Friday during an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time. He warned that if the APC is not checked, the party could jeopardize Nigeria and its citizens.
Commenting on politics in Kano, his state of birth, Iroegbu accused the APC of lacking concrete plans for the welfare of Nigerians. He claimed the party has instead aligned itself with elites at the expense of ordinary citizens, adding that the 2027 elections would pit the people against those who have impoverished them.
“Kano is my state of birth, and I am keenly aware of Northern Nigerian politics. The APC has pushed 50 million Nigerians into extreme poverty since coming into power. They are ruling on a weakening mandate,” he said.
He continued: “We need to converge, realign, and unite against a common adversary. Just as the late former President Muhammadu Buhari once warned that failing to fight corruption would destroy us, failing to end the APC in 2027 may similarly destroy Nigeria and its people.”
