During the Easter celebrations, Governor Umo Eno assured residents of Akwa Ibom State that his administration is committed to establishing a Christ-centred government that prioritizes moral values, social welfare, and community development.
Speaking at a church service attended by thousands of worshippers, Eno emphasized that his government’s policies would reflect Christian principles, aiming to foster unity, ethical leadership, and equitable growth across the state.
He called on residents to actively participate in the governance process and uphold values such as honesty, compassion, and service to the community, saying these are essential for the state’s progress.
“Easter reminds us of hope, renewal, and the power of faith,” Eno stated. “Our administration will continue to ensure that these values guide our governance, creating a society rooted in justice, peace, and Christ-centred leadership.”
The governor also highlighted recent achievements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, stressing that future initiatives would continue to prioritize programs that uplift the less privileged and strengthen community development.
Church leaders and community members lauded the governor’s commitment, describing it as a step toward ethical and value-driven leadership in the state.
