Former Fenerbahçe player, Serhat Akın, has declared Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen as the greatest striker ever to play in the Turkish Super Lig.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan last season, delivered a sensational campaign — registering 45 goal involvements in 41 appearances across all competitions. The Nigerian international played a key role in helping the club secure both the Turkish Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup.

Speaking to Habersarikirmizi, Akın was full of praise for the 26-year-old, describing him as “an extraordinary man” and the ultimate centre-forward.

“Osimhen is an extraordinary man. I think he’s the greatest centre-forward to ever grace this league,” Akın said.

He also compared Osimhen to Galatasaray teammate Mauro Icardi, noting that while Icardi is a “pure striker,” Osimhen offers a complete attacking package that any manager would dream of having.

“Icardi is a pure striker, he did amazing things for two years and became the top scorer. But if I were a manager, I’d be incredibly happy to have Osimhen on my team. He’s my dream centre-forward,” he added.

Osimhen’s impressive performances continue to strengthen his reputation as one of the most dominant forwards in European football.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
