Veteran Nollywood actress Idowu Phillips, popularly known as Mama Rainbow, has marked a double celebration — her 83rd birthday and an incredible 60 years on stage — with stunning new photos and heartfelt words of gratitude.
Taking to her Instagram page, the legendary actress reflected on her long and fulfilling journey in the entertainment industry, describing it as “a journey filled with music, memories, love, and endless gratitude.”
She wrote:

Mama Rainbow, who began her acting career in the 1960s as part of the Osumare Theatre Group, expressed deep appreciation to God, her family, her fans, and her team for their unwavering support over the decades.
“I thank God Almighty for the gift of life, strength, and purpose. Every day, every song, every stage has been a blessing.
To my family — your love has been my foundation. To my fans, friends, and lovers at home and abroad — you are my heartbeat.”
She also gave a special mention to her son and manager, Femi Phillips, describing him as her “pillar and daily joy” whose dedication has kept her legacy alive.
