VERYDARKMAN BLASTS SOSO SOBEREKON OVER N120M BOXING OFFER, DEMANDS $1 MILLION INSTEAD

Popular social media activist, VeryDarkMan, is not taking things lightly after music executive Soso Soberekon proposed a ₦120 million boxing match between him and controversial singer Portable.

In a video posted on Instagram on Sunday evening, VeryDarkMan described Soso’s offer as disrespectful, saying it falls far below his worth.

He revealed that in 2024, he turned down a $100,000 offer to fight American rapper 50 Cent, insisting then on a $1 million fee if the event had gone through. According to him, 50 Cent was being offered $5 million, and he felt it was only fair that he got a more reasonable share.

“How can I fight 50 Cent for just $100k when he’s getting $5 million? I said I must collect $1 million or it’s not happening,” he said.

VeryDarkMan claimed even more recent offers this year were rejected because the money wasn’t “reasonable.”

Turning his attention to Soso’s proposal, he said

“₦100 million cannot even buy a decent house in Abuja. I’ve spent more than that on charity alone this year. If you want to disrespect me, just say ‘waka.’ Don’t bring my name up for cheap publicity.”

He then made it clear:

“If you want me to fight Portable, bring $500,000 upfront, then we can talk about the rest. But I doubt you even have that kind of money.”

With this bold rejection, it seems the proposed match is a no-go—unless the price is right.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
