US PROSECUTORS CONSIDER DEATH PENALTY FOR SINGER D4VD IN TEEN MURDER CASE

Los Angeles prosecutors are considering seeking the death penalty against American singer D4vd after a judge ruled that there is sufficient evidence for him to stand trial over the alleged murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

The artist, whose legal name is David Burke, has pleaded not guilty to charges including first-degree murder and unlawful mutilation of human remains. Prosecutors allege he killed the teenager after she threatened to expose their alleged relationship, which they claim could have damaged his rapidly rising music career.

According to court proceedings, the prosecution argues that the case involves special circumstances that could make it eligible for capital punishment under California law. However, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has not yet made a final decision on whether it will formally seek the death penalty.

Following the judge's ruling, the case is expected to proceed to trial. Burke remains in custody, and his legal team continues to deny the allegations, maintaining that the evidence does not prove he committed the crimes.
