UNIDENTIFIED MAN FOUND DEAD IN ABANDONED BUILDING IN PLATEAU

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have recovered the body of an unidentified man from an abandoned building in Jwakom Village, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The building is located behind a primary school in the community.

According to security sources, the discovery was reported at about 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, prompting troops from Sector 8 to visit the scene.

The soldiers found the man’s body in a state of decomposition. Initial efforts to identify him were unsuccessful.

The body was recovered and handed over to the youth leader of Jwakom for further action, the sources said.

Investigations are ongoing to establish the deceased’s identity and determine the circumstances of his death. No cause of death has been established.
