Ultimate Health has called for expanded access to affordable health insurance schemes for workers in the informal sector.

The organization noted that millions of Nigerians in informal employment lack adequate health coverage, leaving them vulnerable to medical emergencies.

It urged policymakers and insurers to design flexible and low-cost packages tailored to the needs of traders, artisans, and small business owners.

Officials said improved coverage would strengthen public health outcomes and reduce out-of-pocket spending.
