UCL: UEFA UNVEILS PLAYERS WITH MOST HAT-TRICKS IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE HISTORY
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has unveiled the updated list of players with the most hat-tricks in UEFA Champions League history.
This announcement comes after Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, scored a stunning hat-trick in his side’s 3-0 victory over Ajax on Wednesday night.
According to UEFA, a total of 114 players have now recorded at least one Champions League hat-trick, with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah becoming the 100th player to do so during Matchday 4 of the 2022/23 season.
Osimhen became the latest player to join the elite list on Matchday 4 of the 2025/26 campaign, further solidifying his status among Europe’s top forwards.
Below is the list of players with the most hat-tricks in Champions League history:
8 – Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid 7, Juventus 1)
6 – Robert Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund 1, Bayern Munich 4, Barcelona 1)
4 – Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) and Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain 2, Real Madrid 2)
3 – Filippo Inzaghi (Juventus 2, AC Milan 1), Mario Gomez (Bayern Munich), Luiz Adriano (Shakhtar Donetsk), and Neymar (Barcelona 1, Paris Saint-Germain 2)
Osimhen’s addition to the list marks a historic moment for African football, as he becomes one of the few Nigerian players to achieve the feat in the modern Champions League era.
