UCL: OSIMHEN SCORES WINNER AS GALATASARAY KNOCK OUT JUVENTUS
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen scored the decisive goal as the Turkish side eliminated Juventus from the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Turkish champions arrived in Turin holding a commanding 5-2 advantage from the first leg, but it was the home side who dominated the early stages of the second leg.
Manuel Locatelli converted a penalty in the 37th minute to give Juventus the lead, and Federico Gatti doubled their advantage in the 70th minute. Weston McKennie’s late header forced the contest into extra time.
In the first half of extra time, Osimhen struck after receiving a well-timed pass, putting Galatasaray ahead on aggregate once again. Baris Alper Yilmaz sealed the victory with a breakaway goal, confirming the Turkish side’s place in the Champions League last 16.
