Victor Osimhen delivered an assist as Galatasaray secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Liverpool in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash at RAMs Park.
The Nigerian forward set up Gabon international Mario Lemina, who scored the decisive goal just seven minutes into the encounter.
Osimhen thought he had added his name to the scoresheet in the 63rd minute, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
The 27-year-old has now recorded seven goals and three assists in nine appearances in the competition this season.
Liverpool also had a goal disallowed in the second half after it was judged to have involved a handball.
Both sides will meet again in the second leg scheduled for next Wednesday.
