UCL: CLUB BRUGGE NAME NIGERIANS ONYEDIKA, OSUJI IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SQUAD
Good news for Nigerian football fans as Raphael Onyedika and Vince Osuji have been included in Club Brugge’s squad for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League season.
Onyedika, who was heavily linked with a move to the English Premier League this summer — with West Ham and Crystal Palace reportedly interested — will now remain with the Belgian giants for another season after the club convinced him to stay.
His compatriot, Vince Osuji, who joined Brugge from Swedish side Kalmar in January, also cut and will get his first taste of Champions League football.
In addition, Kaye Furo, a Nigerian-born defender, has been named in the squad, giving the country even more representation on Europe’s biggest football stage.
With three Nigerian players in their ranks, Club Brugge will be one of the sides to watch as the Champions League group stage kicks off.
