United Bank for Africa (UBA) is set to host the latest edition of its quarterly Business Series, with a renewed focus on empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the cultivation of impactful partnerships across Africa.

Taking place today at the UBA House in Marina, Lagos, the event forms part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to support business growth and enhance financial inclusion across the continent.

According to a statement from UBA, the Business Series is designed to provide small business owners and entrepreneurs with actionable strategies for building resilient collaborations, accessing funding, and navigating today’s dynamic business environment.

This quarter’s theme, “Stronger Together: Building Powerful Business Partnerships for Progress,” will spotlight the power of collaboration in overcoming business challenges. The session will feature insights from accomplished business leaders and entrepreneurs who have successfully harnessed partnerships to drive growth.

Among the guest speakers are Dabota Lawson (beauty entrepreneur), Wale Ayilara (real estate mogul), Mai Atafo (fashion entrepreneur), and Peace Hyde (journalist and TV producer). These experts will share their experiences and offer practical advice to help participants thrive in a competitive marketplace.

Speaking ahead of the event, Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking, emphasized the importance of collaboration in modern business:

“In today’s interconnected world, collaboration is key to sustainable success. With the ‘Stronger Together’ series, we aim to inspire entrepreneurs and business leaders to build meaningful alliances that unlock growth and contribute to Africa’s economic development.”

Also commenting, Alero Ladipo, UBA’s Group Head of Corporate and Marketing Communications, reiterated the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship through knowledge sharing:

“This series reflects our mission to build a thriving business ecosystem through strategic collaboration. Our speakers, drawn from diverse sectors, have demonstrated how partnerships can scale businesses, create employment, and spark innovation.”

The UBA Business Series serves as a knowledge-sharing initiative designed to equip entrepreneurs and small business owners with the skills, tools, and networks needed to grow and sustain successful ventures.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
