A fatal accident along the Abeokuta–Sagamu Expressway has claimed the lives of a motorcyclist and his passenger near the Siun junction.

The crash, which involved multiple vehicles, happened on Wednesday and was confirmed by the spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi.

According to reports, the collision involved a car (plate number KTU 152 JB), a Mazda bus (LSR 345 YK), a motorcycle (KNN 515 VD), and a truck (T5582 LA).

Details about how the crash occurred are still unclear, but the impact was severe enough to instantly kill the two people on the motorcycle.

TRACE officials have since cleared the scene, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.

The agency is once again urging all road users—especially commercial drivers and motorcyclists—to exercise extra caution and obey traffic rules to avoid such tragic incidents.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
