Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has resumed training with his Turkish Super Lig club, Besiktas, following the funeral of his father in Nigeria.

Ndidi’s father, a former soldier, tragically passed away last month in a car accident near Umunede, Delta State. He was laid to rest last Friday in Agbor, Delta State.

The midfielder is now available for Sunday’s home clash against Goztepe, having missed last weekend’s 3-2 away victory at Istanbul Başakşehir.

The 29-year-old has scored once in 16 league appearances for Besiktas this season. The Black and Whites are currently fifth in the league table with 40 points from 22 matches, while Goztepe occupy fourth place with 41 points.
