TRUMP THREATENS TO DESTROY IRAN’S OIL WELLS, POWER PLANTS

United States President Donald Trump has warned that the US could destroy key Iranian oil and energy infrastructure if a deal to end the ongoing conflict is not reached soon.

In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the US is currently in “serious discussions” with what he described as a more reasonable leadership in Iran, expressing optimism that an agreement could be reached in the coming days.

However, he issued a strong warning that failure to secure a deal and reopen the strategic Strait of Hormuz could lead to military action targeting Iran’s oil wells, power plants, and its major oil export hub, Kharg Island.

“Great progress has been made, but if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached… we will… completely obliterate all of their electric generating plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island,” Trump said.

The warning comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, where the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran has entered a new phase. Trump also claimed that the US has effectively achieved “regime change” in Iran, describing the current leadership as different from previous ones.

Despite the threats, Trump suggested that diplomatic efforts are ongoing and that a resolution could be reached soon.

The situation remains volatile, with increased military deployments in the region and concerns over global oil supply, particularly due to the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for international energy shipments.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
