TRUMP DESCRIBES OLUREMI TINUBU AS ‘A VERY RESPECTED WOMAN’
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, met with United States President Donald Trump on Thursday during the 74th Annual National Prayer Breakfast at Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
At the event, President Trump publicly acknowledged Mrs. Tinubu, describing her as a “very respected woman” and inviting her to stand, prompting applause from attendees.
In his remarks, Trump highlighted her dual role as both a national leader and a religious figure, noting that she serves as a Christian pastor at one of the largest churches in Nigeria.
“We’re honoured to be joined today by the First Lady of Nigeria, who also happens to serve as a Christian pastor at the largest church in Nigeria. A very respected woman. First Lady, please, where are you? Thank you very much,” Trump said.
Mrs. Tinubu’s presence at the high-profile gathering underscores her engagement in both national leadership and faith-based initiatives.
