TRUCK EFFICIENCY KEY TO CLEANER, FASTER PORT OPERATIONS – TTP

The Truck Transit Park (TTP) has emphasized that improving truck efficiency is central to achieving cleaner and more efficient operations at Nigeria’s port corridors.

The company made the statement while highlighting ongoing efforts to streamline truck movement, reduce congestion, and improve logistics management around key seaports, particularly in Lagos.

According to TTP, inefficiencies in truck scheduling and movement have long contributed to traffic gridlock, environmental pollution, and delays in cargo evacuation. The organization noted that its digital call-up system is designed to address these challenges by regulating truck entry and improving turnaround time.

Officials explained that better coordination of truck activities not only enhances operational efficiency but also reduces fuel consumption and emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment around port access roads.

TTP urged stakeholders in the maritime and logistics sector to embrace technology-driven solutions to improve compliance and ensure smoother cargo movement across port corridors.

The company also called for stronger collaboration between government agencies, transport unions, and private operators to sustain reforms aimed at modernizing Nigeria’s port operations.

As port traffic continues to grow, TTP says efficiency improvements remain critical to supporting trade, reducing costs, and enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness in regional and global logistics networks.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
