TROOPS RESCUE THREE KIDNAP VICTIMS, ARREST SIX TERRORIST LOGISTICS SUPPLIERS

Nigerian troops have rescued three kidnapped victims and arrested six suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in coordinated operations across the North-East and North-West regions.

The Defence Headquarters announced the successes on Wednesday, commending the gallant troops for their professionalism and dedication.

According to the military, the victims were freed during intensive clearance operations targeting terrorist hideouts, while the six arrested individuals were allegedly involved in supplying food, fuel, and other logistics to bandit and terrorist groups.

The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation to unravel their networks and accomplices.

The Chief of Defence Staff reiterated the Armed Forces’ commitment to restoring peace and security across the country, warning that anyone aiding terrorists or bandits will be brought to justice.

The rescued victims have been handed over to relevant authorities for debriefing and medical care before reuniting with their families.

These operations form part of ongoing efforts to degrade the capabilities of criminal elements and improve security in affected communities
