TROOPS REPEL TERRORIST ATTACK ON AZIR BRIDGE, BANKIN KAI IN BORNO
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) successfully repelled attempted terrorist assaults on their positions at Azir Bridge in Sector 2 and Banki in Sector 1.
The terrorists, who advanced in large numbers in an effort to overrun the locations, encountered swift and overwhelming resistance from vigilant troops.
Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer of the JTF (NE), stated that the troops launched well-coordinated spoiling attacks that disrupted the terrorists’ assault formations, forcing them into disarray.
The statement emphasized that the failed attacks contradict misleading reports circulating online. Troops remain firmly in control of the locations, demonstrating high morale, decisive firepower, and sustained offensive operations against terrorist elements.
The Joint Task Force reassured the public of its continued commitment to defeating all terrorist threats across the theatre of operations and restoring lasting peace to the North-East region.
