TROOPS KILL 47 INSURGENTS, RESCUE 30 VICTIMS IN COORDINATED OPERATIONS
The Nigerian Army has recorded significant gains in its ongoing nationwide offensive against insurgents, neutralizing 47 terrorists in a series of coordinated operations.
In a statement released Tuesday night on its official Facebook page, Army Headquarters confirmed that the operations, conducted over the past 72 hours, also led to the arrest of 19 criminal suspects and the rescue of more than 30 kidnapped victims.
Troops recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, and other logistics during the joint land and air strikes.
According to the Army, aggressive ground operations based on credible intelligence were carried out in the North West and North Central regions, resulting in the elimination of terrorists. The offensive was further extended to Zamfara, Kaduna, the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), and parts of the South South.
