TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED WIFE OF NOTORIOUS TERRORIST IN ZAMFARA
Troops of the 1 Brigade have arrested a woman believed to be aiding terrorists in Kanoma town, Zamfara State.
The suspect, identified as Fatima Isah Ile, was caught while hiding in an uncompleted building on the outskirts of the town. According to security sources, she allegedly used children to buy petroleum products on her behalf.
Investigations revealed that Fatima is the wife of a notorious terrorist, Isah Ile. During the operation, troops also recovered three jerricans of petrol from the location.
She has since been handed over to the Department of State Services (DSS) for further investigation.
The arrest is seen as a significant step in disrupting terrorist networks in Zamfara, a state that has been plagued by banditry and violent attacks in recent years.
