Troops of the 6 Brigade in Taraba State have arrested a suspected armed criminal during a joint security operation in Shagada Village, Namnai Ward, Gassol Local Government Area.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed this on Wednesday through his X handle, stating that the operation was conducted on Tuesday, November 4, following credible intelligence.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Abdulmudallabi Audu, was reportedly found with an AK-47 rifle, two magazines, and 53 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.

Makama explained that the operation was jointly carried out by troops of the 6 Brigade in collaboration with operatives from the Department of Intelligence and Analysis.

He added that the suspect and the recovered weapons are currently in custody for further investigation, and that the troops safely returned to base at about 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
