Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Super Falcons forward Joy Omewa from Danish side Fortuna Hjørring.

The 23-year-old attacker has signed a contract that will keep her at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Omewa enjoyed a successful three-year spell at Fortuna Hjørring, scoring 52 goals in 85 league appearances. During her time in Denmark, she won the Danish Women’s Cup twice and lifted the Kvindeligaen league title in the 2024/25 season.

At international level, Omewa has represented Nigeria at both the U-17 and U-20 levels and has made two appearances for the Super Falcons senior team.
