Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has been offered to Manchester United.

Ndidi, who ended an eight-year stint at Leicester City in the Premier League and Championship, moved to Turkish side Beşiktaş during the summer transfer window.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano revealed that the Nigerian midfielder is being considered as a potential reinforcement for Manchester United’s midfield in the second half of the season.

“One player that has been offered to Manchester United is Wilfred Ndidi,” Romano said. “A former Leicester City midfielder, now playing in Turkey, is being considered as a possible signing for the January transfer window.”

Although Ndidi is reportedly open to a return to England, Romano confirmed that Manchester United have yet to make an official offer.

“The club is aware of this opportunity, but no formal bid has been made at this stage,” he added. “The player is ready to agree to any deal necessary to return to the Premier League.”

Ndidi has been a key figure for Beşiktaş this season, making 14 league starts and scoring once. With less than two weeks remaining in the winter transfer window, the Nigerian international is keen to return to the Premier League and join a more competitive side.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
