Former Inter Milan striker Nicola Ventola has claimed that Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman was a victim of “injustice” during the summer transfer window, after his dream move to Inter Milan failed to materialize.

Speaking to Viva el Futbol (as quoted by FCInter1908), Ventola suggested that the Nigerian international had been let down by unfulfilled promises.

“Personally, Lookman, in my opinion, is the one who suffered an injustice in the summer,” Ventola said.

“After two years, there have been promises not fulfilled.”

Recall that Lookman reportedly tried to force a move away from Atalanta to join Inter Milan, submitting a transfer request and even skipping training sessions in protest.

However, despite his efforts, the 27-year-old was unable to secure the transfer and remained at Bergamo for the 2025/2026 season.

Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 and played a pivotal role in the club’s UEFA Europa League triumph, solidifying his reputation as one of the most dynamic forwards in Serie A.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
