A 30-year-old woman, identified as Adams Hannafi, has reportedly taken her own life in Sumore Village, Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

According to local sources, the tragic incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, when the mother of four, who was suspected to be suffering from mental illness, was found hanging from a tree near the village. Her body was discovered by passersby who quickly alerted the authorities.

Confirming the incident in a statement, the Spokesman of the Jigawa State Police Command, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said that officers from the Yalwawa Division rushed to the scene upon receiving the report.
