TRAGEDY IN IBADAN: WOMAN FOUND DEAD AFTER BUYING BREAD, POLICE PROBE SUSPECTED RITUAL KILLING
Residents of the Aba Alfa community in Boluwaji, Ibadan, were thrown into panic after a woman identified as Iya Dupe was found dead in her home under mysterious circumstances.
According to reports by Ibadan-based journalist Seun Aribikola, the deceased was last seen around 9 p.m. when she reportedly stepped out to buy bread.
Her lifeless body was discovered the following morning, sparking suspicions of a ritual killing among neighbours.
Disturbing footage from the scene showed anxious residents gathered outside the victim’s home as police officers cordoned off the area.
The Oyo State Police Command has not yet released an official statement, but sources say an investigation has been launched to uncover the cause of death and identify those responsible.
The tragic incident has once again raised concerns over the rising cases of ritual-related killings and insecurity in parts of the South-West region.
