The Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has been plunged into mourning following the death of its long-serving Public Education Officer and spokesperson, Chief Route Commander Florence Okpe.

The Sector Commander, Akinwunmi Fasakin, confirmed her passing, stating that Okpe died in her hometown in Cross River State while on medical leave after battling a chronic illness.

Before travelling to her hometown to recuperate, Okpe had been undergoing treatment at a health facility in Ogun State.

Commander Fasakin described the late officer as an enigma of dedication, professionalism, and resourcefulness who served the command with distinction throughout her tenure as the primary public advocate for road safety across the state.
