Tompolo Launches Door-to-door Campaign, Vows 10 Million Votes For Tinubu In 2027
In a bold show of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement — established by Niger Delta leader Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo — launched a national grassroots campaign with a special rally in Abuja on Friday, commemorating the 2025 Democracy Day.
The event, held at the NAF Conference Centre, marked the official beginning of a voter mobilisation campaign aimed at securing President Tinubu's re-election in 2027. Addressing a packed audience, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi, the movement’s Protem National Coordinator, declared:
“President Tinubu has earned a second term. His administration has driven transformational progress in just two years. We are targeting 10 million votes to ensure his return to Aso Rock.”
Described by political observers as a pivotal moment in the ruling party’s re-election strategy, the rally highlighted the group’s grassroots approach — a ward-by-ward, street-by-street mobilisation effort under the leadership of its Grand Patron, Tompolo.
Adekanbi outlined key achievements of Tinubu’s administration, referencing improvements across education, the economy, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, security, agriculture, and social welfare.
He noted that more than 500,000 students have accessed interest-free education loans, daily oil production has climbed to 1.61 million barrels, and foreign reserves have grown from $4 billion in 2023 to over $23 billion in 2024.
He also praised President Tinubu’s bold economic reforms, including the removal of the petrol subsidy and the unification of exchange rates, crediting them with boosting investor confidence and increasing government revenue.
“From the Naira-for-Crude initiative to judicial reforms empowering local governments, President Tinubu is building a foundation for a stronger, united Nigeria,” Adekanbi said.
Tompolo, a prominent figure in the Niger Delta, is expected to spearhead the campaign trail through strategic engagements with political actors, traditional rulers, and local communities.
“Tompolo is committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda because Tinubu has shown visionary leadership,” Adekanbi added. “We are taking this message from door to door, uniting Nigerians around shared progress and national development.”
The movement also vowed to tackle misinformation and raise civic awareness about the president’s policies, working to build broad-based support for Tinubu’s 2027 bid.
In his closing remarks, Adekanbi urged citizens across the country to join the movement:
“Let’s consolidate the gains made so far. Together, we can deliver a landslide victory for PBAT in 2027.”
The rally concluded with enthusiastic chants and banner-waving, featuring images of President Tinubu, Tompolo, and the movement’s slogan: “Renewed Hope, Renewed Mandate.”
