TINUBU’S POPULARITY FADING FAST — AREGBESOLA DECLARES AHEAD OF 2027

Former Minister of Interior and current National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will lose in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Saturday in Ilorin during an interview with journalists after inaugurating the ADC’s state secretariat along Basin Road, Aregbesola stated that despite the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s public display of confidence, the party is deeply insecure and unpopular among Nigerians.

He accused the APC of persecuting opposition members across the country, noting that such actions betray fear rather than strength.
“If the APC were truly as strong as it claims, it wouldn’t be so restless, harassing and intimidating our members nationwide — from Lagos to Kebbi and Kaduna,” Aregbesola said. “Their anxiety shows they are aware of their declining popularity, and the ADC will be the one to benefit from it.”

He further emphasized that, by divine grace, the ADC is positioned to assume leadership at both the national and state levels in the next election.

Commenting on politicians defecting to the APC, Aregbesola described them as “enemies of the people.” Similarly, former Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, who recently left the PDP for the ADC, affirmed that the party is fully prepared to take over governance in 2027.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
